In the role of BOM Engineering Specialist, you create, manage and audit bill of materials (BOM) in order to provide an accurate MRP planning, ensuring the right parameters at finished goods and raw material part numbers.If you're looking for the opportunity to apply your talents and demonstrate your enthusiasm for the aerospace industry as we build smarter electrical solutions for a better flight, this could be the position for you!

This position contributes to our vision by:

 Working with pre procurement BOM projections, including Forecast BOM, Make Buy and preliminary BOM update.

 Assisting with BOM information flow between engineering and supply chain departments.

 Providing support to all involved departments on the BOM processes.

 Solving problems and giving solutions in regard to raw material, units of measure, substitute part numbers or alternative topics.

 Creating finished goods part number at the assembly level.

 Assisting in identifying and analyzing excess and obsolete materials, delving into root causes to streamline inventory management and optimize operational efficiency.

 Creating component part numbers of attributes in SAP and perform periodic audits to ensure correct reliability in the ERP system.

 Ensuring BOM integration to ERP systems in order to ensure an accurate MRP projection, and follow up on the reliability through the BOM Accuracy, Rotobin Accuracy and Missing BOM KPI.

 Adhering to the 5S methodology in regards to lean manufacturing.

 Acknowledging, adhering to, updating and improving quality system in the BOM Process.

 Providing troubleshooting, improvement and support as required for the SHM deployment.

Job Requirements

Safran Electrical & Power looks for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain, quality, or engineering roles, with experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and documents.

• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - Advanced

• Read and interpret technical drawings - Basic

• Problem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action – Basic

• Ability to operate Engineering Systems, ERP (SAP) – Basic

• Ability to prioritize to meet customer requirements – Basic

• Ability to communicate, verbally and written, to internal and external customers – Basic

• Capable of managing large amounts of data and tasks – Advanced
