Safran Production Supervisor - swing shift in BELLINGHAM, Washington

The Production Supervisor provides overall support and direction, including managing team to produce components of high quality, within budget, in a safe manner, on schedule.


The Production Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and will have from approx. 1-6 leads reporting to him/her. This person will work independently and manage leads reporting to the him/her. Their main areas of responsibility will include, resource assigning

(people and machine), time card approvals, work oversight, daily line rates, FPQ, performance reviews and other daily tasks to support VS needs.


  • Manage headcount requirements – within process areas

  • Provide daily communication on status

  • Supervision responsibilities including a variety of personnel issues (selection, corrective action, training, and motivation)

  • Ensure quality standards are met

  • Monitor for safe work practices

  • Ensure parts are built to proper specification

  • Provide problem solving within the team

  • Provide communication of status both within the team and across the business unit

  • Perform reviews, Bi-yearly reviews

  • Attend specific DBT’s as assigned

  • Provide goals and measurements, for assigned areas

  • Provide leadership and direction for Leads

  • Actively promote and engage in 6S/Lean activities

  • Perform other duites as assigned


  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required

  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, lead position required

  • Certified Operator with Lead experience, or equivalent experience strongly preferred

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, DMS, Axapta, Lotus Notes and Access databases required

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as required to meet business needs required.


  • Manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

  • Standard workweek often exceeds 40 hours/week.
