The Program planning lead is responsible for planning for overall project goals, delivery schedule, and on the floor status in support of the master schedule. Ensure orders are released to the shop floor in a manageable, effective, and logical sequence to achieve on time completion of orders. Responsible for providing detailed status to Program management in support of customer communication.


The PPL reports to the Production Control. The PPL will work independently in close working relations with Program Management, Production Supervision, Production and Senior Management.


  • May need to Create and Release MO’s and WO’s

  • Troubleshoot M3 errors

  • Work with Production Supervision/Production Control Scheduler to optimize inventory and WIP levels

  • Work with Production supervision/Production Control Scheduler to ensure timely closing of MO’s.

  • Coordinate with other members of the production control team for filling material shortages

  • Attend DBT meetings and be an advocate for preserving schedule

  • Coordiniate material transfers with inventory control as required

  • Coordinate timely start of production orders from kitting and stores and expedite as needed

  • Release flam MO’s and track status

  • Coordinate timely completion of shipping kits and installation kits

  • Maintain and update bucket list

  • Conduct status meetings as applicable

  • Develop presentations and Status for PMO

  • Perform other duties as required


Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered.

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelors preferred

  • Minimum 4 years working in an ERP/MRP environment required

  • Basic knowledge of Bill of Materials and Routes required

  • Good interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite ( Windows, Word, Excel, etc.) strongly preferred

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Lifting requirement 30 lbs
