Zodiac Inflight Innovations is a subsidiary of Zodiac Aerospace who develops in-flight entertainment systems and connectivity systems for the airline industry worldwide. Zodiac Inflight Innovations has been leading the way with cutting-edge systems such as Rave that have been providing passenger and flight crew satisfaction for more than 16 years.
The Commodities Manager will be responsible for the Commodity Strategy for assigned commodities as defined by Management. Employee will assist Supplier Contracts Manager with daily responsibilities as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
For a defined commodity, establishes and implements the Commodity strategy
Defines the sourcing and supplier base strategy (make or buy, consolidation, reduction, development of new source and transitions)
Drives market analysis, outlooks and competition analysis, forecast, pricing and cost reductions. Evaluates Total Cost of Ownership.
Utilizes applicable Standards regarding Risk, Operational Performance and Supplier Development to validate supplier development and adherence to strategic plan.
Prepares RFQ’s, negotiates LTA’s, and confirms provisions of the contract are applied
Performs Supplier QBR’s for assigned commodity
Develops the relationship with the Supplier as a strategic partner
Supports all phases of NPI process.
Leads Strategic Projects as defined by Senior Management.
Assist Supplier Contracts Manager as required.
Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
6+ years of experience working in Supplier Management
Basic understanding of contractual language
Previous exposure to contract negotiations
Ability to adapt, plan and organize in a constantly changing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be proactive, meticulous, organized, and detail oriented
Ability to efficiently resolve problems
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks
Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
