Job Summary:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the delivery and performance of Zii Products and Services as well as the overall customer relationships for high profile programs and/or key accounts. This role ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to the program from various departments as well as within the department. They will be expected to interface with other departments to prepare cost justifications, recommend priorities, generate schedules and develop solutions to customer issues. In addition, the individual in this position will be responsible for developing relationships that lead to repeat business and assisting the Sales Team in acquiring new contracts. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes as well as coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role performs a variety of complex tasks, and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. The major differentiator between this position and the Principal Program Manager is the level of experience brought to the position as well as the size and strategic importance of the individual program being managed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior advisor to program teams regarding projects, tasks, and operations for a key program and/or account

  • Develop solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments

  • Develop new business and expand company footprint

  • Daily management of team execution

  • Daily management of customer

  • Daily management of the program suppliers

  • Daily management of the program schedule including modifications to the team and execution strategies

  • Creation and maintenance of the program planning worksheets

  • Provide daily guidance and support to other members of the Program Management team

  • Act as a key member of the department Leadership Team

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • 15+ years of experience working in a similar role

  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role

  • Prior project and program management experience

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
