Job Description

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, including HRIS data entry, payroll assistance, employee relations, filing, and compliance. This role is essential in supporting the HR department's daily operations and ensuring accurate and timely HR processes.

This position works under general supervision and empowers to provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures, maintain accurate and confidential employee files, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

Authorities:

This position has the authority to access and update employee records within the HR Information System (HRIS), assist in the payroll process, support employee relations activities, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Complementary Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• HRIS Data Entry: Accurately enter and update employee information in the HR Information System (HRIS).

• Payroll Assistance: Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.

• Employee Relations: Provide support in handling employee inquiries and resolving workplace issues. Assist in the administration of employee programs and initiatives.

• Filing and Compliance: Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records and files. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and 0-2 years of HR experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and 3 years of experience as a HR Generalist required.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS software.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred experience with HRIS tools such as; Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft etc.

• Preferred knowledge of Payroll Tools such as; ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, Paychex etc.

• Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
