Job Description

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?

As a Production Engineer at SLS Maintenance Repair & Overhaul your focus will be on optimising production throughout the site. Supporting engineering team, safety protocols, quality systems, standardising activity and creating strategies which enhance efficiency and profits.

Principle Accountabilities :

• Provide day-to-day technical and engineering support to the operating areas

• Engineering out rejects and non quality

• Assist in planning, design, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the operating areas

• Assist in planning, design, installation, and maintenance of work stations in the operating areas

• Assist in planning, design, manufacture and maintenance of tooling in the operating areas

• Technical support and troubleshooting of production issues related to equipment, tooling, processes, quality, controls, and systems

• Provide technical lead, development and design of equipment and processes to support safety/environmental compliance, customer needs, new product/process introduction, plant optimisation and efficient manufacturing

• Make recommendations for and provide technical support for capital expenditures in support of site strategy

• Participate in plant working groups in support of safety, environmental, organizational, quality, and manufacturing objectives

Job Requirements

• A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

• Dedication to continuous improvement and sound prioritization skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills, Six Sigma training encouraged

• Demonstrated sound work ethic

Shifts: You will be expected to work shifts (Based on the demands of the team) and in line with the collective agreement.
