Safran Aerosystems is a world leader in aircraft electrical distribution, inflatable safety and water and waste management systems. It is also a major supplier of oxygen systems, telemetry and communication solutions, in-flight entertainment systems or fuel systems.
Responsible for the direction, control and coordination of all financial activities of the Division; for planning and developing the Division’s basic systems of accounting and financial control; for providing direction to the financial functions of cash management, insurance and taxes; for participating in major financial and contractual transactions; for the direction of the functions of Organization Planning and Policy Administration; and for rendering advice and assistance in assigned areas of responsibility for policy guidance
Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Participate in the formulation of the Division’s near term and long-range goals and objectives, and the plans and programs directed toward their achievement.
Formulate and recommend changes and additions to financial policies relating to functional activities under his/her direction.
Plan and develop the Division’s basic systems of accounting and financial control; take appropriate action to ensure the uniform and consistent recording and reporting of all fiscal transactions and to properly present the Division’s financial position.
Provide direction in the preparation and presentation of the Division’s financial forecasts.
Establish the Division’s overall system of budgetary control; provide for the interpretation of financial results against planned performance.
Arrange capital financing as directed by the Corporation.
Direct the administration of all functions relating to cash operations, including custody of the Division’s funds; establish credit and financial evaluation practices within Corporate guidelines.
Provide direction on contract terminations, overhead claims and settlements.
Support the administration of the Division’s industrial insurance program and coordinate with the Corporate Insurance Department.
Support the administration of the Divisions’ tax accounting activity; ensure that the Division’s tax returns and reports are filed in a timely manner by the Corporate Tax Department.
Take necessary action to ensure compliance with financial requirements established by law or regulations, or to which the Division is committed by agreement or contract; direct the preparation and submission of reports required thereunder.
Provide policy direction covering relations with banks.
Direct the Division’s legal functions, including coordination with outside and Corporate counsel, and patent and licensing activities.
Establish standard contract terms under which the Division will do business with customers and suppliers; approve nonstandard contract terms and conditions; review and approve proposals and contractual documents whose size, terms or conditions exceed the authority granted to the Vice President Marketing.
Provide for the establishment and maintenance of an effective and comprehensive internal audit program.
Provide for the review and appraisal of the Division’s programs for the acquisition, accounting for, maintenance and disposition of all property and equipment owned or leased by the Division; execute all leases on behalf of the Division.
Prescribe division-wide practices governing inventory management.
Provide for appropriate storage and retention schedules for the Division’s vital records.
Provide guidance and financial controls to Scott Bacharach, AV-OX and Scott Health & Safety Organization.
Provide financial and managerial guidance to Shanghai Eagle Safety Equipment (Joint Venture) and serve as Chairman of the Board.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Sales & Operations Planning process.

Manager Accounts Payable
Required: B.S. in Accounting
Preferred: M.B.A. and/or C.P.A.
Required: 10 years various accounting positions
Preferred: 15 years covering all major areas of accounting in a multi-facility manufacturing operation
Required: Credit and collection, general accounting, tax, asset accounting, cost and pricing, budgeting, data processing, payroll, accounts payable, strategic planning, etc.
Preferred: Government accounting, online computer experience, policy making, auditing control, financial analysis, etc.
Ability to interact and relate with executive and managerial personnel in a professional manner; above average analytical skills with the ability to develop policy procedures and oversee their implementation.
