Job Summary: Duties include preparing items for shipment, verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, and arranging for the transportation of products. The Shipping Clerk/Driver will be responsible for the assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping of merchandise or material, and ensuring safe transport of deliveries to customers, and/or facilities affiliated with Zodiac Aerospace.

Summary of Duties:

  • Deliver raw materials, supplies, tools, and finished goods to local Zodiac Aerospace facilities.

  • Transport raw materials, supplies, tools, and finished goods between the home facility and any local warehouses.

  • Assist the Shipping Department with packaging and staging of deliveries.

Qualifications:

Level 2 Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma is preferred.

  • Experience: 2+ years experience. Certified in forklift operation.

  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of

  • Other Skills: Expert knowledge of driving routes, map reading, and staging and freight preparation. Experienced with loading and unloading trucks. Experience and knowledge of shipping department tools and high skill level in tool usage (i.e. powertools).

  • Level: Intermediate to Senior

Level 1 Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma is preferred.

  • Experience: Less than 2 years. Certified in forklift operation.

  • Computer Skills: Basic ability to use Microsoft software..

  • Other Skills: Basic knowledge of driving routes, map reading, and staging and freight preparation. Able to load and unload trucks. Understanding of shipping department tools and tool usage (i.e. powertools).

  • Level: Entry

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

  • Carrying, pushing, or Lifting - Up to 50lbs

  • Standing, sitting and walking throughout the workday

  • Work will be mostly inside a vehicle, or at loading/receiving docks
