Job Title: HR Coordinator

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of human resource support duties, such as effectively recording, maintaining, and reporting human resource information and for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management. Establishes and maintains professional working relations with applicants, visitors , callers, and business professionals. Performs general office support functions, assists department personnel as needed, and related duties as required or assigned. Assists in informing new employees of human resource policies, programs, and insurance benefits as needed. Must maintain employee confidence and protect C&D operations by keeping personnel data highly confidential. This job reports to division’s Human Resources Supervisor.

Summary of Duties:

General:

  • Assists with employee’s questions and problems courteously and promptly.

  • Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.

  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.

  • Gathers personnel records from other departments and/or employees.

  • Ensures that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.

  • Maintains Human Resource Data Bases and ensures accuracy of employee information.

  • Enters New Hires and Terminations into HRIS and and ensures accurate pay records.

  • Completes miscellaneous research, reports, memos, obtains and conveys information as requested and needed.

  • Conducts New Employee and Benefit orientations and maintains benefits recordkeeping systems.

  • Provides back-up support to the reception desk and is familar with the roles and responsibilities of that job functions.

  • Keeps HR Leadership appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems

  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned.

  • Files relevant paperwork into employee personnel files

  • Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

  • Uses relevant information and good judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.

  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

  • Stays well informed regarding human resource developments.

  • Maintains and protects the Company’s professional reputation.

General Notes:

  • As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.

  • Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.

Qualifications:

ITAR governed position: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to qualify.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience in human resources, recruitment or staffing.

Computer Skill: Advanced skills with Windows Operating System®, MS Office®, strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy. Ability to operate a PC and other basic business machines is necessary.

HRIS: Experience with HRIS, ADP preferred

Other Skills: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing,

managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures. Understanding of human resource reporting and recordkeeping requirements is required.
