The Engineered Materials location of Zodiac Aerospace, in Marysville WA is recruiting for a Quality Inspector for its Marysville facility. The quality inspector will inspect, audit and report on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft interior/exterior and structural parts using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards.

Inspection duties include but are not limited to :

  • First article inspection of newly designed or revised products.

  • Receiving inspection of materials to ensure conformance with specifications, engineering and purchase orders.

  • In-process inspections of manufactured parts and sub-assemblies.

  • Final inspection of product prior to shipment.

  • Data entry of inspection details/reporting.

  • Preparation and testing of material samples, as well as clean up of tools.

  • Will participate in quality/operational improvement activities

  • May be trained as an auditor.

  • Some travel to other facilities may be required.

Job Requirements :

  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer and company specifications, as well as technical publications.

  • Must be able to effectively use precision measuring instruments.

  • Ideal candidate will be highly motivated.

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Fluent communication in English is required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must be willing to travel to other Zodiac locations as needed.

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint

  • Must be able to multi-task, cross train, and work in a team environment.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.
