Safran - IDD Aersopace, a leading manufacturer of lighting products for the aerospace industry is seeking a highly motivated individual for our Team.

IDD Aerospace, a Business Unit within Safran, is a leading global aerospace leader, engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of flight deck products. The company provides lighted panels, control panel assemblies, keyboards, and integrated switch panels that are used in commercial, military, and business jet aircraft worldwide. The company operates production facilities in Redmond, Washington; and Chihuahua, Mexico.

Title: Production Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Production Supervisors are responsible for the operations of responsible departments to ensure on time, quality and financial targets are met. He/she directly supervises team members to ensure production procedures/processes and company policies and rules are adhered to consistently.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Production Planning of all products within departments of responsibility to ensure on-time delivery of quality parts. Production Planning include activities such as resource planning, product flow and prioritization.

  • Responsible for the processes. In coordination with Manufacturing Engineering, resolves process problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Responsible for improvement activities to meet company goals, such as On-Time delivery, quality, efficiency and cost, etc. Improves department productivity and efficiency through planning, training, improvement activities and evaluation of labor standards.

  • Coordinates the production processes to ensure continuity on all shifts.

  • Ensure team members received the necessary training on operation logistics, proper usage of equipment and process documents.

  • Determines work schedules for team members and delegates assignments for all shifts.

  • Review and approve time charged by their direct reports on a daily basis so that employees may be paid.

  • Participates in lean activities and training of lean concepts.

  • Providing timely performance reviews and feedback to team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in manufacturing.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience supervising with accountability for other shifts.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work on complex tasks, and interpret schematics and drawings

  • Demonstrate writing skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Analytical skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Must develop and maintain good team member and interdepartmental relations

  • Must have people motivation skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Position will require overtime on an as needed basis.

  • On-time delivery, quality, cost and the responsible processes

  • Confidentiality: Knowledge of team member wages and increases

DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

  • Work is done under limited supervision.
