Job Description

• Define, implement and validate the development of testing and certification plans in accordance with Safran's standards and processes while ensuring performance, quality, and adherence to defined delivery timelines and cost commitments.

• Participate to the project team. This involves circulating bottom-up and top-down information about the project and formally defining, in conjunction with project team members' line managers, the availability of the requisite skills and resources.

• Manage and lead the team involved in the certification project, actively circulating information both upwards and downwards, formally defining the project's status in collaboration with key stakeholders and line managers.

• Create and validate delivery plans that support the production unit's delivery lines.

• Define and validate references in the system for testing and certification projects, such as approval records, configuration reports and other relevant documents in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Oversee and ensure adherence to the test and certification project schedule, while also updating management indicators KPIs to track progress.

• Supervise and promote the rigorous implementation of project management methods in accordance with regulations and standards. This includes conducting regular management and monitoring meetings, tracking KPIs, preparing scorecards and reports.

• Provide technical options and information in collaboration with relevant technical teams and lines of business as part of the decision-making process.

• Monitor and validate the management of risks and opportunities (Improvement Plans), incorporating feedback from past experiences (Lessons Learned)

• Address conflicts and contingencies as needed to facilitate the smooth progress of activities and ensure compliance with delivery requirements.

• Collaborates with stakeholders on lead times, planning items and any testing certification related elements

• Performs root cause analysis activities related to planning for Testing/Certification.

• Performs work under minimal supervision

• Handles complex issues and problems, and escalates only the most complex issues to higher level staff.

• Attend and actively participates in departmental meetings in a positive manner.

• Lead continuous improvement efforts for the department.

• Communicate department's activities and strategies in conjunction with the direction of leadership.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Complementary Description

The certification coordinator is responsible for overseeing all planning activities for testing and certification to assure successful delivery of the product. This position will be responsible for performing tasks and duties associated with testing and certification articles production planning, including producing schedules, material lists, and production plans. Drives changes that assist in the improvement of performance of testing and certification. Assist in other engineering projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (+5 years without degree)

Experience:

• 5+ years of production or planning experience

Computer Skills:

• Effective oral and written communications skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail

• Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate

• Ability to read and analyze engineering prints and drawings.

• Willingness to learn and develop new competencies

• Self-starter with ability to drive improvement, meet timeliness and objectives
