Job Description

Customer Support Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the customer support plan for Group and partner OEMs in the Asia Pacific region.

  • Analyze product reliability and In-Service Experience, providing timely feedback to OEMs through reliability reports and analysis of key metrics.

  • Thoroughly investigate and address customer technical complaints related to civil aircraft components and liaise with workshops for interpretation and updates.

  • Act as the interface between OEMs and Asia-Pacific Airlines, managing technical disputes, following up on technical improvements, and handling emergency situations.

  • Manage customer and supplier relations across the region, supporting Entry Into Service for new programs.

  • Supervise fleet upgrade and retrofit campaigns, reviews of Service Information Letters (SIL), and implement systems or component modifications following Service Bulletins (SB).

  • Develop end-user documentation and training materials; conduct training sessions for in-house teams and external customers.

Repair Operations Responsibilities:

  • Lead repair workshops and customer support operations for SAFRAN Group and partner OEMs in Asia-Pacific.

  • Support a team to ensure short Shop Processing Time and monitor Key Performance Indicators, reporting to selected OEMs.

  • Attend Technical Review meetings and support existing repair capabilities, solving issues promptly.

  • Assist the Lead for Bench Maintenance on the workshop level and perform/supervise level 3 Corrective Maintenance when needed.

  • Implement Predictive Maintenance, assist in sourcing for materials, and establish calibration requirements.

  • Proactively initiate creative solutions to maintenance issues, implement best practices, LEAN operations, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct investigations, write reports to customers, and ensure optimum communication between all stakeholders.

  • Report to management, flowing down relevant and timely information.

Capabilities Development Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Group and partner OEMs' new repair capabilities, including market research and feasibility studies.

  • Drive progress, review milestones, report advancements, track investments and expenses, and monitor contractors and suppliers.

  • Perform self-assessments, engineering studies, and liaise with QA for airworthiness application and repair capability integration.

  • Review Testability, perform Shop validation, and act as the Project Manager for the assigned project.

  • Handle Requests For Information or Quotation for technical/commercial proposals.

  • Ensure SEDSA contract terms & conditions are understood & satisfied and manage SAFRAN OEMs Support investment.

  • Develop relationships across multiple organizations, safeguarding the interests of SAFRAN ELECTRONICS & DEFENCE SERVICES ASIA and partner OEMs.

Job Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

a) Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical Engineering

b) At least 5 years of Aviation Engineering experience, Technical Support Aircraft Maintenance and Repair

Operations, in OEM or MRO environment

c) Proficient in product support and trouble shooting procedures

d) Hands-on experience on design and wiring of electronics test fixtures

e) Experience in OEM technical support, or related MRO operations/engineering

f) Must be familiar with technical support environment, processes, and manuals used for aircraft maintenance. Working knowledge of the Aviation Airworthiness requirements like Part 145 is advantageous

g) Serviced-oriented with hands-on experience of customer support.

h) Effective Project Management and interpersonal skills

i) Experience in calibration requirements and procedures

j) Proficient with Microsoft software applications

k) Working knowledge of the Aviation Airworthiness requirements like Part 145 is advantageous

l) Sound knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9000 and AS9110

m) Excellent attitude, good team player, motivated, driven, committed, reliable. Take ownership of the projects

n) Ability to multi task in a dynamic environment

o) Excellent communications skills. Well versed in written and spoken English

p) Able to think ahead, process data, make decisions and solve problems.
